I am just five feet four inches tall, but I have embraced my truth and am really proud of my stature. I have come to understand and enjoy my height for what it is even though I am not the tallest person in the room. Not among the tallest people I know is me. I have always had a strong basis in Mandarin since I am Asian and This has not only helped me to feel more in touch to my roots but also given me chances to interact with more different kinds of individuals.

I have a delicate body, hence I am usually described as elegant and delicate. Though some people may consider this as a flaw, I have come to see it as a vulnerability that I could use to my use. My small frame helps me to move with simplicity and agility, which in turn helps me to be fast on my feet for both the physical and psychological sides of my life.

Regarding my weight, I fall on the scale that runs from 61 to 65 kilogrammes. Though I have come to the conclusion that my value is not defined by the numbers that show on a scale, numbers are perhaps given a lot of weight in society. Rather, I focus on giving my body the nutrition it requires by eating healthy meals and participating in physical exercise that makes me feel strong and confident.

Generally speaking, the person I have grown into makes me happy. I have learned to be able to embrace my height, language abilities, physical traits for what they are – unique traits that add to my identity. I no longer attempt to follow a specific pattern and I have stopped evaluating myself against others. Instead of that, as the girl who has found her truth, I have decided to embrace her uniqueness and live a real life.
